Celiac disease was once a disease that plagued many women, and almost nine times out of ten when they went for a physical examination, they were diagnosed with cervical erosion, which has now been replaced by the physiological phenomenon of “cervical columnar epithelial ectasia”. The appearance of the cervix as seen under gynecological examination. The central part of the cervix, which looks a bit like “erosion”, is covered by columnar epithelium, while the outer part of the cervix, which is relatively smooth, is covered by squamous epithelium. This area is medically named as “squamous junction zone”, which is easily affected by estrogen. In women before puberty, ovarian function is not perfect, estrogen is low, the columnar epithelium is on the inside, after menstruation, the columnar epithelium is influenced by estrogen, more towards the outside, so there are more columnar epithelium similar to “erosion” found in the cervical mouth examination, after menopause, female estrogen level decreases, the columnar epithelium again. After menopause, women’s estrogen levels drop and the columnar epithelium begins to retreat inward again, at which point the “vesicles” are invisible. Ectopic cervical columnar epithelium is caused by unclean or violent sexual intercourse, multiple abortions and deliveries, infections or surgical operations, and may lead to cervical cancer if it is progressively aggravated, especially if it is combined with high-risk HPV infection in the cervix that does not go into remission. If combined with localized cervical pus, increased leucorrhea, yellowing, odor, cervical polyps, cervical hypertrophy, etc., this is a manifestation of chronic cervicitis. This is a manifestation of chronic cervicitis. It needs to be combined with cervical TCT and HPV examination. Minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopy, laser, freezing and physical therapy are needed if necessary. In short, cervical erosion has been replaced by cervical columnar epithelial ectopic, which is a physiological phenomenon, and cervical cancer screening can usually be performed once a year. The cervical cancer vaccination can be performed if necessary. Paying attention to menstrual and sexual hygiene and a light diet can effectively prevent the recurrence of cervicitis.
