Follicular thyroid cancer, like papillary thyroid cancer, is a relatively well-differentiated type of thyroid cancer and has a good prognosis. On the contrary, undifferentiated thyroid cancer is the most malignant type of thyroid cancer, and most of them have distant metastasis by the time they are detected, which means they are in advanced stage and most of them will die within a year.
