Why does my eyeglass prescription keep growing? One type of myopia is pathological. This is a pathology that occurs within the eye and is hereditary, and is characterized by a steady and rapid increase in myopia. If myopia increases by more than 200 degrees in a year, or reaches a total of 2,000 degrees of high myopia, it is likely pathological myopia. Another cause is inattention to eye hygiene, i.e., incorrect eye habits. For example: (a) Too bright or too dark lighting, too long eye time. (ii) The presence of eye diseases such as inverted eyelashes, ptosis, keratitis, etc. without timely diagnosis and treatment can aggravate myopia. (iii) Myopia is aggravated by unsuitable glasses. Once you find that the existing glasses can not meet the vision requirements, you should promptly go to the regular hospital ophthalmology examination, correct myopia, replace the appropriate glasses, and regular review, in order to avoid long-term eye in the “thirst” state, the cornea and lens surface over-curved, aggravating myopia. There is also a need for glasses. Many children and adolescents are pseudomyopia, and their vision can fluctuate greatly within a short period of time. It is recommended to use dilated eye examinations to fully relax the eye muscles and eliminate pseudomyopia, and then prescription glasses, a more complicated process! Not simply look at the visual standard with glasses!
