Type 2 diabetes does not usually turn into type 1 diabetes.
Type 2 diabetes is an elevation of blood glucose caused by insufficient insulin secretion due to insulin resistance caused by genetic and/or environmental factors, etc. Type 1 diabetes is an elevation of blood glucose caused by a lack of insulin due to the destruction of one’s own pancreatic β-cells, which results in an inability to secrete insulin normally.
Due to the differences in the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes and type 1 diabetes, the cause of type 2 diabetes is mainly related to genetic and/or environmental factors, while type 1 diabetes is mainly related to autoimmunity and partly affected by genetic factors, so type 2 diabetes usually does not turn into type 1 diabetes.
If the patient suffers from diabetes, should be timely to the hospital, actively cooperate with the treatment, to avoid aggravation with the development of the disease.
