Is farsightedness 0.4 and 0.6 considered serious?

Whether or not a patient with hyperopia with visual acuity of 0.4 and 0.6 in both eyes is serious is related to the patient’s age and developmental stage. It may be normal for a developing child of three or four years old, but it is abnormal for an adult patient.
Children at different ages and developmental stages will have certain differences in their visual acuity and hyperopia. Children at the age of three or four years old with underdeveloped vision and a certain amount of hyperopia may have a normal naked eye visual acuity of 0.4 and 0.6, which can be observed and followed up.
However, if the adult hyperopia patients only have 0.4 and 0.6, which can obviously affect the patients’ life and work, then it is a more serious situation, and the patients can wear glasses to correct their hyperopia and improve their vision.
Patients with hyperopia are advised to seek timely medical consultation to assess their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
