Can a child be cured of farsightedness?

Children with mild hyperopia can usually be cured, but there is no cure for severe hyperopia.
1. Curable: If the child is only physiologically farsighted, and parents intervene at an early stage, the condition can be cured, and glasses can be worn to regulate the condition.
2. Cannot be cured: If the child’s hyperopia is caused by lagging development of the eyeballs and short eye axes, the focus is not on the retina when looking at things, but at the back of the retina, resulting in the inability to clearly image, usually accompanied by other vision problems such as strabismus, it is very difficult to cure this case, and can only be used to wear glasses to reduce the visual fatigue.
Parents must be patient in treating hyperopia in children. It is recommended to go to the hospital for comprehensive optometry after ciliary muscle paralysis, through which the patient’s degree of hyperopia is determined for prescription of glasses.
