Treatment of sinusitis and nasal polyps is a comprehensive treatment

In my daily work, I always see a lot of patients asking: Can sinusitis and nasal polyps be cured? Yes! However, the treatment of sinusitis and nasal polyps is a comprehensive one! The principles of treatment are the same: generally speaking, conservative treatment for 2-3 months, and when it does not work, surgery is the treatment of choice. In children, adenoid removal is preferred when conservative treatment for sinusitis is ineffective; surgery is preferred for nasal polyps. In adults, sinusitis and nasal polyps are treated with endoscopic sinus surgery if conservative treatment is not effective. But all of them should pay attention to the postoperative comprehensive treatment: because the postoperative period, especially 1-3 months, is the key period of mucosal regression, only when the mucosa is completely epithelialized, it will not recur. You can’t just stop coming after surgery when you think your nose is fine. When you have symptoms and then want to come, there will be polyps growing out and have to operate again! Too late!
