Conical cornea can be determined by optometry, topography and slit lamp examination.
1. Optometry: If the patient is in the early stage of conical cornea, optometry can be used to see if the vision can be corrected by prescription lenses and if keratoplasty lenses are needed.
2. Topographic examination: It is a direct and effective way to examine conical cornea, which can completely find out the change of corneal curvature before and after, and determine the severity of the disease.
3. Slit lamp examination: Slit lamp microscopy can clearly see the central thinning of the cornea in the shape of a conical anterior protrusion, and also observe the corneal morphology of the patient to see if there is any edema, scarring, perforation and so on.
When patients have abnormal eye symptoms, it is recommended to go to the ophthalmology department of the hospital in time for relevant examinations and actively cooperate with doctors for treatment.
