How much do you know about the dangers of testicular syringomyelia?

Testicular syringomyelia can be seen in children and adults alike. The normal testicular sphincter cavity is a closed structure with a small amount of fluid inside, which plays the role of lubricating the testicle. When the fluid in the sphincter cavity accumulates beyond the normal level, a cyst-like lesion can form, which is a common disease in male medicine. For male infants within one year of age with testicular syringomyelia, special treatment is generally not needed and can wait for observation, as many can absorb on their own. The majority of testicular syringomyelia has no clear cause, but the most common ones are caused by inflammation of the testes and epididymis or trauma to the testes, and some rare causes such as parasitic infections may also cause it. The following are the main hazards of testicular sphincter effusion: 1. Long-term immersion of the testicles in a large amount of sphincter fluid may affect the normal testicular development of children, and may even lead to testicular atrophy over time; 2. Testicular syringomyelia may lead to scrotal discomfort, especially if the syringomyelia is huge, the symptom will be especially obvious, and sometimes it can even affect normal work and life; 4. Skin fistula sinus tracts and other problems, especially for elderly testicular syringomyelia. Therefore, surgery is recommended for obvious testicular syringomyelia over the age of one week.
