Can I have oculoplastics after myopic surgery?

After 3 months of myopia surgery, oculoplastic surgery can be performed with the consent of a regular hospital ophthalmologist consultation. The surgical operation is only on top of the eyelid skin and does not usually affect the intraocular tissues such as the eyeball. However, the eyelid and conjunctival tissues are swollen during the surgical swelling period, which can affect the local blood and lymphatic circulation and affect the results of myopia surgery. Therefore, it is important to have an outpatient examination by an ophthalmologist before surgery to make sure that the myopia is healing well and that other extra-ocular surgeries are approved before making an oculoplastic plan. Can I have cosmetic eye surgery for glaucoma, cataract, thyroid eye disease and other eye diseases? First of all, it is recommended to visit the ophthalmology department of a regular hospital to treat the related eye disease. If it is in the attack stage are not allowed to operate, because the eye and the surrounding skin will be swollen after eye surgery, and the bandage may compress the eye, etc., all may affect and aggravate the eye disease, especially for patients with glaucoma and thyroid eye disease. There have been previous cases of patients with glaucoma disease who did not inform their doctors of their condition during cosmetic eye surgery, resulting in blindness after the surgery, and such an outcome is something neither the patient nor the doctor would like to see. However, if the eye disease is cured or the condition is stable and the ophthalmologist consults and agrees, cosmetic surgery such as double eyelid or removal of eye bags can still be performed.
