What are the symptoms of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease?

Patient: pain on both sides of the lower abdomen (location mainly: left side is down near the hip bone, right side is about 1 inch up near the hip bone). It is usually a vague pain, which increases on both sides during menstruation. When the pain worsens, the corresponding part of the hip also becomes sore. If the abdomen is cold, the pain in the abdomen is obvious, and there is also soreness in the lumbosacral region. For more than a year, the left lower abdomen has been vaguely painful, and the right side is sometimes painful and sometimes not. The menstrual cycle is normal every month. Another condition: the pain is gradually relieved when lying down, but it is obvious when sitting or standing for a long time. The tests and ultrasound were normal, but there was cervical erosion. When the doctor examined her, the left adnexa was slightly thickened, but there was no pressure pain (several doctors examined her, some said it was a little thickened, and some said it was normal). In April last year, pain suddenly appeared in the left lower abdomen (no symptoms except abdominal pain, and the pain did not worsen during menstruation), which was diagnosed as pelvic inflammatory disease at that time. Six months later, the pain started to appear on the right side. May I ask Dr. Yu if my condition is pelvic adhesions caused by pelvic inflammatory disease? How can I accurately confirm the diagnosis?
