Is chronic prostatitis serious?

Many patients with chronic prostatitis can’t help but ask: “Is my disease serious?” “What damage does chronic prostatitis do to the body?” The internet is full of “I have chronic prostatitis. The Internet is full of “I have chronic prostatitis and I’m going to collapse!” “I’m only in my 20s, help me!”. I’m in my 20s, help me!”. It is clear that many people are afraid of chronic prostatitis. The actual fact is that this is the result of the hearsay of the patients, and the real understanding of the common knowledge of chronic prostatitis will not produce these excessive worries and fears. The first thing to keep in mind is that chronic prostatitis (prostatitis III) is not a serious disease, a major disease. It is not a good idea to have a good time with the other important organs that threaten your life, not to mention an incurable disease like cancer. The actual fact is that you can find a lot of people who are not able to get a good deal on a lot of things. The actual fact is that you will not have to be overly nervous and anxious when you have chronic prostatitis. Although some patients have severe urinary frequency and urgency and pain, or severe perineal or lower abdominal distention and pain. But most chronic prostatitis patients’ symptoms are not very serious, or none of them are unbearable. However, when the patient’s exaggerated perception of the danger of the condition, the subjective prediction of poor efficacy, or the disappointment and frustration generated by repeated episodes of prolonged failure to cure, often makes the patient anxious and nervous, or even depressed and insomniac. It can be seen that to eliminate the psychological damage of chronic prostatitis patients, depends on the patient’s objective understanding of the disease itself, and maintain a good optimistic state of mind. Most scholars believe that chronic prostatitis has no direct harm to erectile function, but does not exclude the indirect psychological impact. A poor physical and psychological state can have a negative effect on sexual desire and sex life. Decreased libido or erectile function may occur especially when the patient has perineal pain, testicular pain, or ejaculatory pain. Some patients with chronic prostatitis may experience shorter intercourse times or premature ejaculation. Of course, not all patients with chronic prostatitis ejaculate prematurely, nor can it be said that premature ejaculation is caused by chronic prostatitis in all patients. The two causes of the disease are not fully understood by medical science, but it is certain that these are two different diseases that should not be confused. For example, if a patient with chronic prostatitis is cured and not treated at the same time for premature ejaculation, premature ejaculation often still exists. On the flip side, some premature ejaculation patients do not have prostatitis. Chronic prostatitis may reduce sperm motility. Patients with chronic prostatitis who intend to have children can find out the status of their sperm by examining their semen routine. If sperm viability is abnormal, treating chronic prostatitis along with some medications for weak sperm has a greater chance of improving semen quality. That is, treating both conditions at the same time is more likely to improve semen quality than treating weak sperm alone. Since the cause of weak sperm is often multifactorial and not only affected by prostatitis, treating chronic prostatitis alone with a view to improving semen quality is not as effective as using sperm-nourishing drugs at the same time. Of course, there are many chronic prostatitis patients whose fertility is not affected. If the symptoms are not severe, chronic prostatitis patients can totally try to have children before treating chronic prostatitis.
