How to prevent myopia in children

There are omens and signs of myopia before vision loss occurs. On weekdays, children complain that when they read for a long time, their handwriting will overlap serially, or that they cannot see well when they look at the blackboard or at a distance after reading and writing for a while. Some children unconsciously sit forward or lean forward when watching TV, and others often have the habit of frowning, all of which are preludes to or already have nearsightedness in the child’s eyes. Parents should take their children to the hospital for an optometric examination when their children have these symptoms. If the child is myopic, the first thing to do is to distinguish between true myopia and pseudomyopia. The most direct and reliable way to determine pseudo-myopia is to compare the refractive state before and after the use of the regulating paralytic. If myopia is myopic before use, but myopia disappears after use and becomes orthopia or hyperopia, then it is pseudomyopia. This is due to the inability to fully relax the regulation when looking at the distance. If the diopter of myopia remains unchanged after medication, it is true myopia. Pseudomyopia can disappear or be reduced as long as the regulation is relaxed and the tension of the regulation is reduced, but true myopia needs to be corrected by wearing glasses. First of all, you should not be partial to food, eat more dairy products, fish, eggs, meat, etc., less candy and food containing high sugar, reasonable dietary structure, eat more hard food. Second, you should also ensure sufficient sleep. Pay attention to eye hygiene from the following aspects: 1, pay attention to the placement of the lamp, so that the light from the opposite direction of the writing hand irradiation. 2, because the contrast between light and dark will make the lighting eye fatigue, thus causing myopia, the use of desk lamps need to turn on the indoor lighting. 3, reflective glare is harmful to vision, so choose paper without reflective, font size appropriate, clear printing of reading materials. 4.Sit properly and keep 30-40cm distance between eyes and books. 5.After 40-50 minutes of eye use, you should take a moderate rest.
