Oral candidiasis is a fungal infection that can occur anywhere in the oral cavity and appears as white or yellow spots or plaques, which when wiped away leave a red area with bleeding.  Oral Candida infection can be treated with antifungal drugs, while antiviral drugs are applied to inhibit viral replication in the body, so that the immune system can gradually recover.
