Will surgically formed double eyelids become single eyelids?

There are various types of double eyelid surgery, the main ones are buried eyelid, incision double eyelid and minimally invasive three-dot double eyelid. In general, the double eyelid formed by the buried wire method has a high probability of forming a single eyelid again due to the shedding of the wire knot, but the single eyelid formed again after shedding cannot be restored to its original shape due to scarring and inflammation of the wire knot. In the case of double eyelids obtained through the incision method or the 3-point minimally invasive method, as a permanent eyelid surgery, the surgical incision and damage to the skin, orbicularis oculi and fat, as well as the scarring of the eye tissue after the surgery, are irreversible and therefore cannot be turned into single eyelids again. Therefore, whether the double eyelids formed after surgery will become single eyelids is mainly related to the double eyelid method chosen by the candidate. Can I regain my original appearance after double eyelid surgery if I am not satisfied? First of all, it should be clear that when double eyelid surgery fails or is found to be bad, except for some of the double eyelids with buried wire surgery, the double eyelids of other surgical methods generally cannot be restored to the appearance of single eyelids. In particular, open eyelid surgery is a permanent eyelid surgery in which an incision is made in the upper eyelid skin and the loose skin, orbicularis oculi muscle and fat are removed and then the skin is sutured together with the orbicularis oculi muscle under direct vision to effectively form a heavy eyelid. If a single eyelid is surgically repaired with an open double eyelid, it is impossible to repair the incision and the damage to the skin, orbicularis muscle and fat from the last surgery, as well as the scar adhesions of the eye tissue after the surgery. This is like a piece of cloth cut into two pieces, even a clever craftsman can not restore to the original, not to mention the eye tissue structure is more complex. Even if it is a buried double eyelid, due to the special operation of the surgeon or the scar adhesion of the eye tissue, some of the knots are very difficult to remove, and some of them are more traumatic after removing the knots, so it is not absolutely possible to restore them to the pre-operative state. Therefore, it is important to be cautious before having double eyelid surgery. For those who have already had double eyelid surgery, don’t just think about restoring the restoration; if there is no possibility of restoration, it is still recommended to undergo repair surgery again after the soft tissue swelling is eliminated to adjust the shape of the double eyelid, and the situation can generally be improved. Of course, the difficulty of the restoration surgery again is more difficult than during the initial surgery, so the effect of the restoration surgery is also dependent on individual differences, which also requires more caution when choosing the second surgery.
