How many years you can live with conservative treatment of smog

As a rare cerebrovascular disease, patients with smog not only suffer from cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage, but sometimes it may even be life-threatening. Therefore, many patients with smog disease are particularly worried about their life expectancy, so how many years can they live with conservative treatment for smog disease? The treatment of smog is divided into conservative treatment and surgical treatment. The conservative treatment of smog refers to medication, however, medication has been confirmed by the medical community to be of little benefit, so surgery should be performed as soon as smog is detected. For the surgical treatment of smog, there are single bypass surgery, patching surgery, and combined vascular bypass surgery. The patching surgery is to patch a part of the temporalis muscle with strong vascular regeneration ability to the ischemic area of the skull base to induce neovascularization and improve blood supply, however, due to the long time of neovascularization, plus there are some people with weak vascular regeneration ability, unable to form neovascularization. Therefore, the possibility of disease still exists during this period. Direct bypass surgery, although faster, can improve blood supply after anastomosis, but the scope of blood supply is still limited and is not the ideal choice. Combined vascular bypass surgery, which is currently used in clinical practice, can overcome the deficiencies and shortcomings of both bypass and patching as a single procedure. Combined vascular bypass surgery is performed under general anesthesia with the application of a high-powered microscope, so the safety is very reliable. In addition, the surgery is compound, and direct bypass and patching can be completed at one time on one surgery, which can improve the blood supply to the patient’s brain more extensively and greatly reduce the possibility of cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage.
