Blood in the stool may be caused by anal fissures, hemorrhoids, rectal polyps or rectal tumors. 1. The clinical manifestations of anal fissures are tearing or cutting pain in the anus, blood in the stool and constipation. 2. When the polyp is small, it often simply shows blood in the stool, without any other clinical discomfort. When it increases to a certain extent, rectal polyps may come out of the anus with the release of stool. The color of blood in stool caused by rectal tumor is dull red, accompanied by changes in stool habits and characteristics, and sometimes blood and stool are mixed together.
