Leaky fetus belongs to the Chinese medical term for what is known in Western medicine as pre-eclampsia. The duration of bleeding is mainly determined by the development of the embryo itself and the hormone levels in the body. The main symptom of a missed fetus, or pre-eclampsia, is a small amount of vaginal bleeding, with some patients experiencing lower abdominal pain. In case of pre-eclampsia, the patient should seek medical attention, rest in bed, abstain from sexual intercourse and maintain emotional stability. If the ultrasound examination indicates that the embryo is normal, the fetal sac is intact, the fetal buds and heart tube pulsation are visible, most of them are not abnormal, and some of them can stop bleeding on their own within a few days after bed rest. If it is found that the embryo does not develop and the heart tube pulsation stops, the abortion should be considered and the pregnancy should be terminated in time to avoid haemorrhage due to coagulation dysfunction.
