What is Trichomonas

Trichomonas vaginalis, as it is known medically, is a very viable parasite that survives and reproduces in a humid environment at 25-40°C and pH 5.2-6.6. 1, Trichomonas parasitic site: mainly in the female perineal glands or vaginal folds, but also in the male foreskin folds, urethra or prostate gland. 2, trichomonas environment: public baths, bath tubs, bath towels, swimming pools, bidets, contaminated clothing, contaminated instruments or dressings, etc. 3, trichomoniasis transmission: trichomonas is mainly transmitted through sexual contact, male and female can become the first source of infection. Can also be indirectly transmitted by public baths, swimming pools and other contacts. 4, leading to trichomoniasis: Trichomonas infection in women mainly causes trichomoniasis vaginitis, while infection in men is usually asymptomatic, which we collectively call trichomoniasis. The main symptoms are increased vaginal or urethral discharge, itching of the vulva or vaginal opening with burning, pain, painful intercourse, and in severe cases, combined with urinary tract infections, frequent, urgent, painful urination, and even hematuria, which can cause infertility in patients who are not treated for a long time. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to sexual hygiene in daily life and avoid frequent unprotected sex; pay attention to high-temperature disinfection of underwear and towels in close contact; and take protective measures in public places such as baths and swimming pools to avoid trichomonas infection.
