Abnormal dental occlusion leading to nocturnal teeth grinding, jaw joint discomfort

I had the honor of attending the 2nd RW International Orthodontic International Clinical Training Course that started recently in Beijing, and I gained a lot from it in a few days. Although the whole course only touched the front part of the diagnosis, the feeling it brought to me was really shocking, so when I was returning emails in the hotel tonight, I suddenly felt a kind of obligation to convey this good news to the patients as early as possible. It is really unexpected that the prevalence of abnormalities of the mandibular joint (both symptomatic and asymptomatic in the compensatory period) is so high in the population, and just the results of the survey within the participants of the study course amazed me that the condyles of the majority of the people are not always located in a comfortable and healthy position, and are forced to shift due to the misaligned alignment of the teeth, the early contact of individual teeth, and so on, and although there may not always be clinical symptoms manifested, the teeth are maximally Although there may not be clinical symptoms, the difference between the occlusal position and the condylar median relationship position is too large, suggesting that the instability of the occlusion brings the possibility of systemic discomfort (night grinding, temporomandibular joint discomfort and headache); orthodontic clinic encountered many cases of occlusal instability after orthodontic treatment and lead to recurrence, but also let us recognize the importance of repositioning the position of the condylar condyle in the articular fossa. The cases of malocclusion demonstrated by the international masters in the class included patients of different ages who presented with severe headaches, and after diagnosis, they wore therapeutic alveolar plates for a long time (some up to 2 years) prior to conventional orthodontic treatment, which was also beyond our previous understanding. Adjustment of the position of the mandibular joint has been repeatedly emphasized throughout the RW diagnostic and treatment system, and therefore, many of the patients encountered in the clinic with abnormal dental occlusion resulting in nocturnal grinding of teeth, jaw joint discomfort, and headache should be prioritized for therapeutic alveolar plate treatment. The author has also used the same method to briefly treat such patients, but I am actually fortunate to have access to such a sound theory as a guide today, and through the latter stage of systematic study, I will definitely be able to provide him/her with better quality services. RW is a set of rigorous and reliable orthodontic treatment system, at present, we know that more than 300 orthodontic specialists around the world have obtained the certificate of qualification of RW training, and their new patients are coming one after another because of the recommendation of the old patients, because this is the real word-of-mouth effect. Trust Dr. RW, it’s the right thing to do!
