Night sweats, what to do

If night sweats occur, it is important to identify the cause and then treat it symptomatically.

①Menopause: women in perimenopause are prone to autonomic disorders and decreased estrogen levels. For such patients, appropriate estrogen supplementation can help improve symptoms;

②Children’s night sweats: children’s night sweats are a normal physiological phenomenon because children are not fully developed and their autonomic nerves are not well developed.

③Tuberculosis: Some patients with tuberculosis may experience night sweats, and if they are found to have tuberculosis, anti-tuberculosis treatment should be standardized;

④Endocrine system diseases: Patients with hyperthyroidism and diabetes are prone to night sweats, and hyperthyroidism is a hypermetabolic disease that can be accompanied by panic and agitation.
