What are the symptoms of chronic pharyngitis in children?

If a child has chronic pharyngitis, he or she will have four main symptoms: 1. throat clearing, the child will often feel uncomfortable with his or her throat, and will feel significant improvement after clearing his or her throat, but after eating spicy food or overly salty food, the child’s symptoms may recur. 2. coughing, because there is lymphatic follicular hyperplasia in the back wall of the pharynx, the child often has an irritating cough, sometimes dry, sometimes with mucus. 3. If a child has chronic pharyngitis, it often leads to enlarged tonsils or adenoids, which can cause snoring during sleep. 4. The child may have a feeling of stuffy ears and hearing loss, which is often a symptom unique to children with pharyngitis, as the eustachian tube is blocked, leading to the formation of secretory otitis media.
