Analysis: According to Chinese medicine, tendons nourish qi, qi nourishes blood, blood nourishes tendons, and the body is weak after childbirth, there is a deficiency of qi and blood, qi does not nourish blood, blood does not nourish tendons. This results in muscle jumping, which is called “eye leap” in the Internal Canon. Liver is the main tendon, so the treatment starts from liver and blood.
