How to treat fibroadenoma of the breast

Fibroadenoma of the breast is the most common type of benign breast tumor. It can occur in women of any age after puberty, but is more common in young women between the ages of 18-25. Fibroadenoma of the breast is rarely malignant and rarely carcinogenic, and only a few cases can be sarcomatous. I. Etiology. The occurrence of this disease is related to estrogen. The abnormal quantity or quality of estrogen receptors contained in fibroblasts in the lobules of the breast makes the sensitivity of fibroblasts to estrogen abnormally high, and the existence of endocrine disorders, such as increased estrogen levels, all contribute to the occurrence and development of breast fibroadenoma. Because estrogen is the stimulating factor for the development of this disease, fibroadenoma is more likely to occur in young women who are at the stage of ovarian function. Clinical manifestations. The main symptom is a painless breast lump, and other conscious symptoms such as breast pain or nipple overflow are rarely seen. Some patients have multiple fibroadenomas. The lump is slow growing, tough, elastic, smooth surface, clear border, easy to push, and mostly no pressure pain. Menstrual cycle has no effect on the lump. Third, treatment. 1.No need to treat most of the breast fibroadenoma, especially those with multiple adenomas in both mammary glands. If you want to treat it, surgical removal is the only effective way to treat fibroadenoma. Most of the treatments advertised in the media, such as drugs, physical therapy and massage, are ineffective and should not be taken lightly to avoid being deceived. For some large tumors (>3cm), fast growing, especially long-standing fibroadenomas that increase rapidly in a short period of time (with the possibility of malignant transformation), surgical removal and pathological examination are required. Since pregnancy can increase the size of fibroadenoma, it can be surgically removed before pregnancy for patients who intend to become pregnant.
