Life expectancy of thyroid cancer

Generally speaking, thyroid patients have a maximum life expectancy of no more than three years because the spread of their cancer cells can drastically affect other normal tissues and organs and interfere with their normal functions. If treatment is not taken and other aspects are not taken care of, then the life expectancy of thyroid cancer patients may be only three to five months. Once thyroid cancer is diagnosed, it is important to take treatment as soon as possible to be able to prolong the patient’s survival while improving the quality of life. The common treatments include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, etc.
