In our study of a large number of amblyopic patients, we found that the degree of amblyopia had a very clear relationship with the outcome, with mild amblyopia having the best outcome, followed by moderate amblyopia, and severe amblyopia having the worst outcome. There is also a close relationship between the nature of gaze and outcome: the best outcome was achieved in central gaze, with 88.87% being cured, and the further the gaze point is from the central concavity, the lower the cure rate and the higher the inefficiency. The type of amblyopia and the outcome: It is agreed that refractive error type amblyopia has the best prognosis. The outcome of form-deprived amblyopia caused by congenital cataracts is poor. Age of treatment and outcome: The outcome is related to the age of first diagnosis. The younger the age, the better the prognosis. Therefore, I especially emphasize early detection and treatment of amblyopic children.
