Etiology of fatty liver

  Fatty liver is not an independent disease and can be caused by a variety of reasons.  1, obesity: obesity is the most common cause of fatty liver.  2, long-term alcohol abuse: alcohol is the second cause of fatty liver. The greater the amount of alcohol consumed and the longer the history of alcohol consumption, the higher the incidence of fatty liver and the more serious the liver damage.  3, diabetes: the incidence of fatty liver in patients with type 2 diabetes is as high as 40% or more, diabetes is also a common cause of fatty liver.  4, malnutrition: long-term malnutrition, the lack of certain proteins and vitamins, can also cause nutritional deficiency fatty liver.  5, drugs drug liver damage: fatty liver is a common type of drug liver damage, there are dozens of drugs associated with fatty liver.  6, hyperlipidemia: hypercholesterolemia is closely related to fatty liver, of which high triglycerides are most closely related to fatty liver.  7, other: certain industrial toxins, such as carbon tetrachloride, can also lead to fatty liver, pregnancy, some hereditary liver disease and fatty liver occurrence. There are also about 10-20% of fatty liver patients can not find a clear cause.
