Is it dangerous to keep the “golden gun” for too long?

”It is probably every man’s dream to be as hard as a “golden gun” and not fall down. However, sometimes the “golden gun” is not only uncomfortable, but can also be a pathology that leads to permanent erectile dysfunction. How to distinguish between what is normal and what is pathological? Under the effect of sexual stimulation, the penis is enlarged and hardened by a large amount of blood flowing rapidly into the penile corpus cavernosum through nerve and vascular diastolic regulation, usually after an orgasm, the blood vessels connected to the outside world open again, like a drain, so that the accumulated blood in the penile corpus cavernosum is discharged and the penis becomes smaller and softer again. In this whole process, the penis does not feel any discomfort. The pathological “golden gun”, also called abnormal penile erection, is a condition in which the penis remains erect for more than 4-6 hours without sexual desire or stimulation and does not subside. After the onset of the disease, the patient’s penis continues to be firm and does not wither, and is often accompanied by swelling and pain and difficulty in urination, which can last for several hours, days or longer. This “golden gun” is not interesting and is extremely painful, mainly due to the prolonged swelling and engorgement of the penis for various reasons. When an abnormal erection occurs, a large amount of blood accumulated in the penis can not flow out, over time, the red blood cells in the state of oxygen deprivation will become very stiff, the blood vessels connected with the outside world will all be bolted shut, so that the penis becomes a closed cavity completely isolated from the outside world, the penis will gradually edema, and eventually necrosis. Some physical diseases such as sickle cell anemia, leukemia, spinal fracture, and paralysis can thicken the blood or cause the red blood cells to lose elasticity and mobility, which may lead to abnormal penile erection; some drugs such as antidepressants and antihypertensives may also lead to abnormal penile erection. There is also a condition where there is too much blood supply to the arteries and too little return flow, which leads to abnormal erection of the penis, such as aneurysm. Once an abnormal penile erection occurs, do not be ashamed to seek medical attention and make sure to deal with it as soon as possible. It is best not to allow the penis to remain erect for more than 4 to 6 hours, let alone more than 12 hours. Studies have found that once the penile corpus cavernosum tissue has been ischemic for more than 12 hours, there is a 90% or more chance of tissue necrosis. Abnormal penile erection is usually made weak by intra-penile injection of vasoconstrictive drugs, such as Neuflorin. Another common method is penile cavernous aspiration and bleeding, which slowly sucks out the blood accumulated in the penis, sometimes combined with flushing the penile cavernous body with saline until the penis is completely weak. If these methods do not work, surgery is required as soon as possible.
