Breast Fibroid Spot

Breast fibroids are a common benign tumor in adolescent women, especially in young women with strong ovarian function, and less frequently in premenstrual and postmenopausal women. The most common age is 20-25 years old, followed by 15-20 years old and 25-30 years old. Patients often have no obvious conscious symptoms, and breast lumps are often found occasionally or during screening. The lumps are round in shape with smooth surface, clearly demarcated from the surrounding tissues, with high mobility, easy to push, firm and without pressure pain. Most of the lumps (75%) are solitary, while a few of them are multifocal, with a slow growth rate, and the menstrual cycle has no effect on the size of the lumps. Although breast fibroids are benign, surgical excision is the only effective treatment because of the possibility of malignancy. Since pregnancy can make breast fibroids increase in size, breast fibroids found before or after pregnancy should generally be surgically removed. The excised lump must be routinely examined for pathology.
