Paediatric vomiting with fever is most often seen in gastrointestinal infections, such as acute gastroenteritis. The typical symptoms of this type of illness are diarrhoea, vomiting and fever. If the symptoms are not severe, the child can be observed at home and treated symptomatically, such as preventing dehydration, taking antipyretic drugs, eating small and frequent meals and avoiding oily and irritating food. If the symptoms are severe, hospital treatment is recommended.
