What are the key points in the diagnosis of cervical spondylosis?

The diagnostic criteria for cervical spondylosis in China must have the following conditions: 1. clinical manifestations of cervical spondylosis; 2. degenerative changes in the cervical intervertebral disc or intervertebral joints as revealed by imaging examinations; 3. corresponding imaging signs and clinical manifestations, i.e., the imaging findings can explain the clinical manifestations. This diagnostic criterion emphasizes that the clinical manifestations and imaging findings appear at the same time and can corroborate and explain each other. With the development of imaging, advanced technologies such as MRI are widely used, and MRI of cervical spine plays an important role in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of cervical spondylosis. As mentioned earlier, cervical spondylosis is a clinical syndrome including various pathological changes, with complex lesions and complicated manifestations, and clinical diagnosis is generally divided into different types of diagnosis. However, the typology of cervical spondylosis in China has not been completely unified, and it can generally be divided into several types such as cervical cervical spondylosis, neurogenic cervical spondylosis, spinal cord cervical spondylosis, vertebral artery cervical spondylosis, sympathetic cervical spondylosis and mixed cervical spondylosis.
