Talk about the prevention and treatment of cirrhosis of the liver

Cirrhosis is the end-stage manifestation of various chronic liver diseases with complex etiology, most commonly viral hepatitis, especially chronic hepatitis B and chronic hepatitis C. In recent years, cirrhosis due to alcoholic hepatitis and non-alcoholic fatty liver is gradually increasing, and schistosomiasis is also an important cause of liver cirrhosis. Prevention and treatment of patients with chronic liver disease progressing to cirrhosis includes the following aspects: 1. Basic treatment. Low-fat diet, small and frequent meals, moderate exercise when the liver function is normal, strengthening the immune system, patients also need to abstain from alcohol for life and be careful with hepatotoxic drugs. 2.Remove the cause of the disease. Patients with chronic hepatitis B and C need antiviral therapy, which is the key to block or delay the development of hepatitis B and C to cirrhosis; patients with alcoholic hepatitis should abstain from alcohol, patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver need to reduce energy intake and increase exercise, and patients with schistosomiasis should be treated with timely deworming. 3.Anti-fibrosis treatment. Many drugs have the effect of reducing liver fibrosis, and can be used as an adjuvant with de-etiologic treatment. 4.Improve liver inflammation. Without inflammation, there is no fibrosis, and without fibrosis, there is no cirrhosis. For many patients with chronic liver disease in the active phase of liver inflammation, drugs that eliminate the inflammatory response of the liver, such as glycopyrrolate preparations, dicyclomine, etc., can be used with de-etiologic therapy to promote liver inflammation to subside as soon as possible and reduce the formation of liver fibrosis. In conclusion, blocking or delaying the development of chronic liver disease to cirrhosis is often long-term or even lifelong, and requires regular checkups and follow-ups at specialized clinics in order to detect changes in the condition at an early stage and deal with them in a timely manner, never trusting in various advertisements and prescriptions, resulting in increased liver inflammation and fibrosis, leading to serious consequences.
