Moderate cirrhosis can be cured. Many patients come in with cirrhosis and vomit blood, but after treatment the cirrhosis is gone, and a gastroscopy is done and the fundic varices are found to be gone. Patients who vomit blood are usually in advanced cirrhosis, and 30% of them can be cured by taking medication and treating the cause. For example, if the patient is suffering from hepatitis B, he should be treated with anti-hepatitis B virus, and if the patient is suffering from alcoholism, he should abstain from drinking, and then he should be treated with Chinese herbal medicine, which is based on tonifying Qi, activating blood, and softening hardness and dispersion. Another 30-40% do progress, i.e. for what we call severe advanced cirrhosis. But moderate cirrhosis will be better, because moderate cirrhosis usually appears vomiting blood, the chance of hepatic encephalopathy is still less, this way it gives us time, taking Chinese medicine is slower, it is impossible to say that overnight, certainly take a 3-5 years, 7-8 years are there. We have more confidence and time to cure moderate cirrhosis, and our current data is that 50% of patients can at least control the state and not let it worsen. There are many factors that can aggravate the disease, such as sometimes not taking medication on time, sometimes still drinking, and sometimes staying up late. We are still confident that moderate cirrhosis can be cured by using the unique advantages of Chinese medicine. Western medicine only carries out the treatment of the cause of the disease, and once it is said to have grown cirrhosis, it will say that there is nothing that can be done, so that the patient can go to a Chinese hospital and prescribe some Chinese medicine to eat.
