Indications and contraindications for iodine treatment of hyperthyroidism

  Indications: 1. Patients with Graves’ disease (the majority of hyperthyroidism belongs to this disease); 2. Patients with hyperthyroidism who are allergic to antihyperthyroid drugs or have poor efficacy or recurrence; 3. Patients with hyperthyroidism and leukopenia or thrombocytopenia; 4. Patients with hyperthyroidism and hyperthyroid heart disease (especially those with intractable atrial fibrillation or heart failure); 5. Patients with hyperthyroidism and liver damage; 6. Patients with hyperthyroidism and diabetes; 7. Patients with hyperthyroidism and myopathy; 8. Recurrence of hyperthyroidism after surgery.  Contraindications: 1. Pregnant or pregnant hyperthyroidism; 2. Hyperthyroidism with acute myocardial infarction.
