Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy

Hypertension is one of the more common obstetric disorders. Nearly 5% of pregnant women will develop this disorder during pregnancy (especially after 20 weeks), and it is one of the leading causes of maternal and fetal death, so it has always been a major concern for obstetricians and gynecologists as well. The three main clinical manifestations of hypertension during pregnancy are hypertension, edema and proteinuria. In addition to the above three main symptoms, pregnant women will also experience dizziness, headache, epigastric discomfort, chest tightness and nausea and vomiting, etc. At this time, the blood pressure is more than 160/110 mmHg, and the pregnant woman may have a convulsion at any time, which is very dangerous for the pregnant woman and the fetus. Therefore, the maternity checkups should be conducted on time, and if hyperemesis is found, treatment should be actively cooperated with the doctor to prevent the occurrence of eclampsia.      In clinical practice, many pregnant women find high blood pressure during maternity check-ups, but because they feel that they have no symptoms, they do not pay attention to the control of blood pressure and do not pay attention to the doctor’s opinion, and their compliance with medical treatment is not good. Hypertension during pregnancy can cause stillbirth because hypertension in pregnant women can cause vascular lesions throughout the body, and the placenta is rich in blood vessels, when the function of the placental vessels decreases, the placenta may have premature abruption, so the risk to the fetus is even greater.
