Infertility is defined as a person who has a normal sexual life after marriage without contraception and has lived together for 1 year or more without conceiving. It is inappropriate to immediately assume infertility in those who have not conceived after several months of marriage or shortly after IUD removal. Excessive stress and premature interventions are not only ineffective, but also tend to cause mental factors and damage to reproductive organs, producing true infertility. The causes of infertility are multifaceted. About 10% of women of childbearing age in China are infertile, and 20% of these couples need to resort to IVF technology in order to have children. With the increasing competition, the increasing pace of life and the changes in human daily life and behavior, the incidence of infertility is expected to increase, with the improvement of IVF technology in China and the increasing urgency of infertility patients to have children. The psychological problems of infertility patients and their awareness of IVF and acceptance of IVF treatment should be treated correctly. Due to the influence of thousands of years of feudal culture and traditional Chinese fertility concept, infertility patients are under great pressure in both family and society, especially women, which affects women’s status in family and society. For infertility patients she or he hopes to get pregnant and have a child through various medical means. The birth of IVF has brought great hope to infertility patients, but the high cost of medical treatment and the low success rate have discouraged many patients. Infertility patients have their own psychological problems, and there are also certain misconceptions about IVF. The main psychological problems of infertility patients are: depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, hostility, interpersonal sensitivity, and some psychosomatic disorders as a result. Poor mental health affects patients’ daily life and quality of survival. Society and families should pay more attention to infertility patients and absolutely eradicate discrimination against infertility patients. First of all, the whole society should correctly establish the concept of fertility, focus on the inner quality of life improvement, focus on the concept of healthy and good couple happiness, poor mental health status, which also affects normal fertility, especially ovulation of women. A good psychological state can not only avoid non-pathological infertility, but for artificial insemination, it can also improve its success rate. It should attract the attention of patients and medical staff as well as the whole society and families. IVF is a new technology developed in recent years, medically known as in vitro fertilization embryo transfer technology, refers to the removal of eggs from a woman’s body, cultured in a vessel, added to the treated sperm, after the eggs are fertilized, continue to culture, to split into egg cleavage spheres, then transplanted to the woman’s uterus to bed, developed into a fetus delivery. This is commonly known as IVF because the preliminary process is performed in an in vitro test tube. The emergence of any advanced technology always generates greater interest and hope, but at the same time some doubt and even rejection due to insufficient knowledge. In addition to increasing the popularity of IVF, we should continue to improve our own quality and gain the trust, understanding and support of patients. In the process of implementing IVF, we should pay more attention to the psychological problems of patients, so that patients can have a good social atmosphere and treat infertility and IVF correctly.
