Can a rotten tooth root be left unplugged for life?

It is not acceptable to leave rotten tooth roots unplugged for life. Not only are they prone to infection, but if periodontal lesions are formed, they can also cause the surrounding teeth to fall out. If there are rotten roots inside the mouth, it is recommended that they be extracted as soon as possible. If they remain in the mouth for a long time, they are prone to develop lesions and form infections. If treatment is not carried out in time, it may result in periapical periodontitis, severe destruction of the bone around the root, or even bone cysts. In addition, when more fatigued and the person’s immune function decreases, facial infections may even occur. If there is facial swelling and pus, chronic inflammation can also form, which can have an impact on various body functions, such as causing heart disease, and even require surgery for treatment if necessary, so it is important to remove the rotten tooth root as soon as possible. If the patient is relatively young and has a rotten root, he or she may choose to have the tooth extracted and then have a tooth implanted to avoid damage to the surrounding teeth. As one tooth is broken, the surrounding teeth may possibly decay, shift and loosen and must be treated as soon as possible.
