Is it normal to have a body temperature below 36 degrees?

Whether a body temperature below 36°C is normal or not depends on the situation. If the body temperature itself is hypothermic and there are no other uncomfortable symptoms, this is normal. If the body temperature is too low and at the same time there are adverse reactions such as chills, dizziness and body fatigue, it is generally abnormal. Usually, the normal temperature of the armpit is 36℃-37℃, the normal temperature of the mouth is 36.3℃-37.2℃, and the normal temperature of the rectum is 36.5℃-37.7℃. Body temperature varies from person to person and is related to the metabolism of each organism, and people with low body temperature usually have a lower metabolism. If you sweat more, it may lead to a drop in body temperature or even hypothermia. You should pay attention to keeping warm, drink more water, prevent cold and flu, and at the same time, exercise properly and strengthen your diet and nutrition. In addition, body temperature below 36℃ may also be caused by impaired heat production, such as hypothyroidism, or due to excessive heat dissipation, such as prolonged exposure to cold temperatures. Elderly people can have body temperature below 36℃ due to insufficient nutritional calories, poor thermoregulatory function or diseases, which is normal. Therefore, if the body temperature is lower than 36℃, you can take the body temperature several times, if there are no other uncomfortable symptoms, it may be normal and can continue to observe. If the hypothermia persists and is accompanied by other undesirable symptoms, you should go to the hospital for examination.
