Bruised eyes usually recover in a few days

The recovery time of eye bruising is related to its severity and the patient’s own repair ability, which should be analyzed on a case-by-case basis and should not be generalized. If the patient’s eye is bruised due to trauma, it is caused by the rupture of small blood vessels leading to local blood stasis, only superficial soft tissue injury, and the patient’s own repair ability is strong, through oral and local topical drugs, usually 5-7 days can be absorbed and recede; if the patient’s eye injury is heavy, accompanied by local hematoma, and their own healing ability is poor, usually about 2 weeks to recover. Patients should apply local cold compresses for the first 24 hours of the injury and local hot compresses for 24 hours, while taking oral or topical medications to activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis. During the treatment period, patients need to adjust their daily routine, get enough sleep, avoid using computer and cell phone for a long time, avoid using irritating cosmetics and skin care products, and avoid spicy and stimulating food.
