Chili
It is said to be “very spicy” in Qun Fang Shu. It is considered to be “very hot” in the “Food taboos”. Therefore, chili pepper is very pungent and hot, and it is easy to help heat up the fire. In the Pharmacognosy, it is stated that “prolonged eating makes the teeth sore and the throat swollen.” Therefore, people with sore throats should not eat it.
Pepper
For the most commonly used spicy stimulating food, its nature is very hot. Ming – Li Shizhen called “pure Yang thing”, and said “pungent go gas, heat to help the fire, the smell of this thing is thick, sick throat mouth teeth should also be avoided. Qing – Wang Shixiong also pointed out that “eating more fire dry liquid, depletion of gas and injury to Yin, sores and damage to the eyes.” The sore throat is mostly caused by fire and poison, so pepper should be avoided.

Cumin
