Blood in the stool can have different symptoms depending on the degree of the condition, ranging from no symptoms to abdominal pain, anal distension, tearing pain, and anemia.
1. Bloody stool. Blood in the stool is mostly acute, with blood being discharged directly from the anus, sometimes as dripping blood after the stool, sometimes as tearing pain during the stool, and when wiped with paper, there is fresh blood on the stool paper. Common diseases include hemorrhoids, intestinal polyps, rectal prolapse, anal fissure, etc.
2, mucus pus and blood stool. The stool with mucus and pus blood, dark red or pink in color, such diseases are often accompanied by abdominal pain. Common diseases are rectal cancer, colon cancer, ulcerative colitis, intestinal infectious diseases.
3. Occult blood in the stool and black stool. Mainly, the stool becomes black or brown-black, which is mostly a symptom of upper gastrointestinal bleeding, often accompanied by nausea and vomiting blood. If the amount of bleeding is greater than 50 ml, black stools, also called tarry stools, will appear. Dark red or bright red bloody stools may also occur if bowel movements are rapid. Common diseases include peptic ulcer, liver cirrhosis, and liver cancer.
If there is frequent chronic bleeding or a large amount of blood at one time, there will be symptoms of anemia, pallor, general weakness, and depression.
