Is infectious molluscum contagiosum AIDS?

Infectious molluscum contagiosum is not AIDS. Molluscum contagiosum is caused by infection with the infectious molluscum contagiosum virus and usually occurs in children, sexually active young adults, and people who live in intensive groups. The typical manifestation of molluscum contagiosum is the appearance of small, shiny bumps on the neck, torso, and external genital area, usually white in color with a small indentation at the top, which can be squeezed to produce small, cheese-like bodies. The actual molluscum contagiosum can appear when the AIDS disease enters its path, but at this time it does not simply appear to be molluscum contagiosum, but may be combined with many other conditional infections, and may be combined with general discomfort.
