Gastric bleeding and the presence of a large mouthful of blood is very serious. Usually it is the rupture and bleeding caused by gastric fundic-esophageal varices, or bleeding from some relatively large gastric or duodenal ulcers that cause this severe blood vomiting. Usually the bleeding is more violent and must be treated urgently in the hospital. When a patient with gastric bleeding goes to the hospital, the first thing to do is to establish intravenous access and use hemostatic drugs. If the situation is severe, gastroscopy must be used to stop the bleeding. If the bleeding cannot be stopped by gastroscopy, a surgical incision must be made to stop the bleeding inside. If this condition cannot be stopped, severe bleeding can easily occur, resulting in having hemorrhagic shock, which may be life-threatening.
