When to go to the hospital when you have a fever

A baby under 3 months of age with a temperature over 38 degrees C. A child over 3 months of age with a temperature over 40 degrees C is accompanied by: refusal to drink water. Even if he or she drinks a lot of water, he or she still looks very uncomfortable; he or she urinates very little and has a dry mouth and few tears when he or she cries; he or she complains of a headache, earache or neck pain; he or she has persistent diarrhea and/or vomiting; and he or she has had a fever for more than 72 hours. Convulsions If the fever gets so bad that you can’t stand it inside, then don’t hesitate to go straight to the hospital for a blood test to check the white blood cell and neutrophil ratios and understand what’s causing it. If it’s a viral infection, you’ll have to go through the process anyway, so go home and take care of it. If it’s a bacterial infection, then listen to your doctor’s instructions and take the appropriate medication.
