What is seminal emission?

Seminal emission occurs when there is no sexual intercourse and is common in adolescent males and is generally a normal physiological phenomenon. According to the time of occurrence of seminal emission, it is divided into dream emission and slippery semen: when it occurs during sleep and dreaming, it is called dream emission, and when it occurs during waking, it is called slippery semen. Seminal emission generally occurs after male sexual maturity, and is rare in males before the age of 12, with an incidence of about 25% at the age of 14, 55% at the age of 16, 70% at the age of 18, and up to 80% at the age of 20. It is generally a normal physiological phenomenon that after puberty, the male internal genitalia also gradually mature, the testes continue to produce sperm, epididymis, prostate and seminal vesicle glands and other accessory gonadal secretions constitute seminal plasma, sperm and seminal plasma stored to a certain extent will need to be eliminated from the body. The number of seminal emission is too little or too much will cause young people to worry, healthy unmarried men, seminal emission 1-2 times a month is normal. Under normal circumstances, unmarried men ejaculate 4-5 times a month is a common occurrence. The distribution of the number of times can be uneven, some people in a period of 1-2 weeks seminal emission once, but in another period of time but several consecutive seminal emission, is also normal. If seminal emission is too frequent, several times a week or several times a night, or even when awake, you should look for the cause. If seminal emission is frequent when sexual life is regular, several times a week or even several times a night, or if seminal emission occurs when there is sexual desire, it is pathological seminal emission. Pathological seminal emission may be caused by the following reasons: psychological factors, manifested as a lack of sexual knowledge, excessive attention to sexual problems, so that the cerebral cortex is in a state of continuous excitement and induces seminal emission; excessive fatigue, if excessive physical or mental labor can also induce seminal emission; inflammatory stimulation, such as Inflammatory stimulation, such as circumcision, vesiculitis or prostatitis, can also lead to seminal emission; local stimulation, such as tight clothing and pants, heavy bedding during sleep to stimulate the external genitalia can also induce seminal emission, etc.
