It is a phenomenon that normal skin induces the same manifestation as the lesions of a pre-existing skin disease after a non-specific injury, and many skin diseases have the possibility of occurrence of isomorphic reaction. The isomorphic reaction of vitiligo is the depigmentation of the normal skin appearance of vitiligo patients after trauma such as cut, sunburn, scratch, scrape and burn, which is an important basis for judging the progressive stage of vitiligo. In the course of vitiligo 28% adults and 35%~45% children can occur isomorphic reaction.
If the isomorphic reaction appears in the stationary phase, it indicates that the disease has a developmental trend or is in the progressive phase. The most important thing is that the patient’s condition can be determined, the cause of the disease and the choice of treatment. First of all, patients with positive isomorphic reaction are in the progressive stage, the white spots have a tendency to spread and the prognosis is poor. Secondly, patients with positive isomorphic reaction often have abnormal immune response, which is a reference indicator to determine whether patients have immune abnormalities. Thirdly, as a reference for choosing the treatment method, if the isoform reaction is positive, the application of stimulating drugs and photochemotherapy should be avoided, and autologous epidermal transplantation therapy is prohibited, but it is a reference indicator for the systematic application of glucocorticoids .
