Osteoarthritis treatment method?

The aim of treatment for early osteoarthritis is to relieve pain and delay the development of the disease, and non-invasive treatment methods should be used as much as possible; the aim of treatment for late osteoarthritis is to relieve or eliminate pain, increase the range of motion of the joint, and rebuild joint stability. The main methods of treatment are non-surgical and surgical. Non-surgical treatment can be divided into non-pharmacological treatment and pharmacological treatment. Non-pharmacological treatment is the preferred treatment for first-time patients with minor symptoms, with the aim of reducing pain and improving function, and enabling patients to better understand the nature of the disease and its prognosis. Common methods include warmth, physical therapy, and moderate activity. The principle of drug selection is that when inflammation is obvious, anti-inflammation is the mainstay, supplemented by analgesia; when inflammation is not obvious, analgesia is the mainstay, supplemented by anti-inflammation. 3.Surgical treatment When you have more serious persistent pain and obvious joint movement disorder, conservative treatment is ineffective, and affect the work machine life, we should consider surgical treatment. For relatively early stage patients, arthroscopic surgery can be performed; for late stage deformity or persistent pain, the surgical options are peri-articular osteotomy, joint fusion and artificial joint replacement. In conclusion, osteoarthritis is a long-term process and may have a significant impact on your life. Therefore, it is important that you undergo early, standardized treatment under the guidance of your doctor, and that you actively take surgical treatment when you reach the advanced stage of the disease.
