2 years of chronic osteomyelitis finally cured

The patient was admitted to the hospital with “non-healing incision with pus flow for 2 years after right tibial plateau fracture”. On examination, the skin of the right upper tibia was pigmented and locally elevated, and a 1×0.5 cm sized sinus tract opening was visible, with continuous exudation of purulent secretions. MRI and CT of the knee joint showed a necrotic cystic cavity in the upper tibial segment. Diagnosis: postoperative tibial osteomyelitis after right tibial plateau fracture. He underwent “right upper tibial lesion removal + VSD placement” in our hospital, and the sinus tract that had not healed for 2 years was finally healed.
