Thyroid cancer patients should keep the affected limb higher than the healthy limb for two weeks after surgery to correct the tendency of shoulder droop. Rehabilitation exercises to restore the function of shoulder and neck muscles should be started one week after surgery and be adhered to for at least three months after discharge from hospital. Practice the following movements: 1. Lower and raise the head: lower the head with the jaw as close to the chest wall as possible, and raise the head with the head tilted backwards; 2. Turn the neck, left and right at an angle close to 90 degrees; 3. Flex the neck left and right with the ear close to the shoulder. Do the above actions continuously, at least 10 times each time, with the amplitude of the action from small to large and the exercise time gradually extended. Besides the above neck exercises, patients can also do other whole body exercises appropriately to enhance body immunity, improve resistance to disease and prevent tumor recurrence.
