If the bleeding is small, no special treatment is needed. Oral vitamin C, vitamin E and rutin can be taken to promote blood absorption; however, if the bleeding is large, immediate haemostasis should be carried out and anti-hypertensive drugs such as enalapril should be taken. In severe cases, surgery or laser treatment is feasible. In general, attention should also be paid to preventive blood pressure control, a light diet, quitting smoking and alcohol, and regular exercise.
